Business Development Report by Chris Burton - CEO

Since my last business report to you in September 2009 there has been many changes to our company which I am pleased to report has seen Mayfair Security achieve significant advancements in many areas of the business.

Once again these results have come from the hard work and dedication of the new management team and a workforce that has contributed significantly and adapted well to the many new demands placed before it.

The economic downturn has had an impact on the company and it would be wrong to say that we have not been affected. We have been faced with some difficult choices and challenging situations but through sound fiscal policies, careful planning and the confidence of our customer base we have been fortunate to ride the storm and succeed in continuing to sustain our growth throughout these difficult times. The end may not yet be in sight but we are well prepared now for what may come in the future.

The appointments last year of Neil and Angela in their new roles of Managing Director and Finance Director, along with the appointment of other key personnel to the Board has enabled the company to explore new challenges and develop new and exciting areas of work which will serve to strengthen the company’s future for many years to come.

The introduction of our new “Careline” branding and our accreditation to SIA /NSI Gold recognition in November 2009 has resulted in the rapid and stable development of our alarm response key holding and manned guarding security division.

This section of our company now provides invaluable proactive key holding and manned guarding security cover to many hundreds of customers throughout the Yorkshire regions.

I feel the best is yet to come. For the past 18 months we have been developing Careline Assist, our most exciting addition to our business portfolio.

Careline Assist will be launched in October 2010 and offers a nationwide 24-hour emergency helpline for families, senior citizens, vulnerable people, students and professionals.

Operated from our national ARC here in Selby, I believe this is the first service of its kind in the UK and offers valuable help to people just when it is most needed. A very successful division of our company continues to be our NSI Gold approved alarm receiving control centre, First County Monitoring, www.firstcountymonitoring.co.uk.
