Plus, the additional worry that if the alarm was faulty and the tenants were burgled, that the landlords would be liable.

Even the fact that you can see from the outside that a property clearly has a burglar alarm would be enough to deter some burglars from attempting to break in.

Also, don’t forget that installing burglar alarms for rental property could increase it’s value and also could decrease insurance payments.

It’s also a good selling point (not literally…) if the property is vacant and they are looking for tenants.
